· There are a vast number of connectivity providers (MNOs and MVNO) active at present even though there are clear moves towards consolidation.
· Other value chain players will include connectivity as part of their offering posing additional threats to the traditional CSP IoT connectivity play.
In this context, CSPs have adopted a strategy of being a specialist or generalist.
· What is clear is that differentiation and focus is key and a vanilla strategy will not result in long terms success.
· A pure connectivity play is insufficient to meet the evolving connectivity and non-connectivity needs of the enterprises as their needs become more complex.
